Thurrock Hotel Accessibility Statement

The Thurrock hotel has been welcoming guests for many years. With our helpful and trained staff, we hope to make your visit a pleasant one.

However, with regards to people with certain disabilities, please do read below for more information to the facilities at the hotel. Whilst we have done everything reasonable to provide accessible facilities & services there are some limitations due to the age & design of the building.  

Public Areas & Parking

• When arriving at the hotel there are Two ‘yellow hatched’ disabled parking bays. These are used on a ‘first come first served’ basis. However, these can be booked in advance.
• Front access to the hotel is via a set of steps and handrails, entering the hotel by push only double doors leading into the reception lobby area.
• For wheelchair users to the right there is a sloping ramp, which brings one to the main front doors. If you need extra help then please call us.
• The ground floor of the hotel is suitable for wheel chair users, accessing, hotel reception and lobby, disabled facilitated toilets and baby changing, bar, dining room, banquet rooms, breakout meeting rooms all limited to the ground floor.

• The ground floor has ample emergency exits in all areas leading to the fire assembly point in the car park
• There are no automatic opening and closing doors.

   

  Bedrooms

• There are no bedrooms on the ground floor.
• There is no lift within the hotel.
• There are no dedicated or less abled bedrooms suitable for guest with certain disabilities.
• Access to bedrooms on the first and second floors is only via stairs.
• This hotel does have some equipment that can be used for hard of hearing guests and partially sighted guests alike, these are issued upon request.
• Upon arrival you may wish to fill in our PEEP (Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan), this can be done with one of our team.
